Eternal on the WaterSTORY PLOT:

ETERNAL ON THE WATER  by award-winning author Joseph Monniger has been described as Chris Bohjalian meets Nicholas Sparks by way of Walden Pond. ETERNAL ON THE WATER is a tragic, yet inspiring love story of two soul mates and the devastating disease that forces them to make drastic decisions. Set against the sweeping natural backdrops of Maine’s rugged backcountry, the exotic islands of Indonesia, scenic Yellowstone National Park, and rural New England, this timeless and poignant love story that will captivate readers everywhere.

If you only read one book this year, let it be Joseph Monninger’s “Eternal on the Water”. The book begins with the aftermath of the death of one of the main characters, and the reader is instantly drawn in to this compelling story of haunting beauty. This book is so much more than the story of two soulmates, told against the backdrop of wilderness beauty in Maine, Indonesia and Yellowstone Park; even the minor characters are finely drawn and memorable.

The description is vivid and puts you right in the scene. The symbolism of nature and the river adds an extraordinary depth. The emotional journey of two people was so well portrayed it brought tears to my eyes several times. This is a very special story about love, nature and true commitment.

I recommend it very highly.

Thanks Sarah Reidy @ Simon & Schuster for this book.
