Review Policy

I absolutely love to read.  I am happy to hear from publicists and authors about review opportunities.

Books I Love to Review:

  • Contemporary/Literary Fiction
  • Multicultural/Ethnic Fiction
  • Historical Fiction
  • Chick Lit
  • Women’s Fiction
  • Mystery
  • Memoirs
  • Nonfiction – History, Art
  • Cookbooks

Books I Don’t Generally Accept For Review:

  • Self-Published Novels
  • Self-Help
  • Fitness
  • Guides (such as travel, do it yourself)

E-Books:

Though I am more inclined to hard copies, but I accept E-Books too, as they are cost effective in case of sending.

Posting Reviews/Time Frame:

I generally post 2-3 reviews per week, and try to give the review the entire day at the top of my page.  If your review needs to be posted on/by a certain date, please let me know that up front.   I am committed to reviewing all of the books I accept for review.Iam a very fast reader, so I put up my review within a week I recieve the book, unless mentioned otherwise.

ARCs:

I do NOT sell ARC’s.

Honesty in Reviewing:

I am completely honest with my reviews, regardless of the source of the book.  If you are expecting a positive review because you sent me a review copy, please don’t bother sending it – I love reviewing, but I lose integrity if I’m not honest with my readers about how I feel about a book.  Additionally, I do disclose the source of the book with every review.

Contact Me:

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or possible books for review here, Leave me a comment here with your contact and I will get back to you.

Copyright:

I work hard on my reviews and take the issue of copyright very seriously.  Please do not copy any of my reviews, posts without my written permission.

Rating System:

I rate each book I review as “Good” or “Bad”…it’s as simple as that, nothing in between.. no 5s or 4.5s or 2s.

  1. Would your blog be interested in writing a review on Hachette’s new book, 101 Things I Learned in Engineering School?

101 Things I Learned is a growing series of small, profession-specific books perfect for beginners as well as experts. The books break down difficult concepts into short, illustrated lessons that are easy to understand and master. Each book is also co-authored by a noted expert in the field. If you would like to learn more about the series or look inside the book, please visit our website: http://www.101thingsilearned.com.

If you are interested in reviewing this book, I would be happy to send you a copy. Also, if Grand Central Publishing has already made contact with you, please accept my apologies for this second attempt.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  2. I would like to send you my book for a review. Can I please have your contact details please as I couldn’t find an email address or address on this site. I like your style of reviews and am sure you’ll like my book.

    Love
